Ginnie Gandy will discuss how CRG works with customers to identify solutions capable of delivering meaningful environmental benefits.
August 17, 2026
By: Greg Hrinya
Channeled Resources Group (CRG), a women-owned, third-generation, family-owned and operated manufacturer of release liners, shipping, warehouse and Product ID labels, pressure sensitive roll labelstock, as well as one of the world’s largest suppliers of reprocessed, coated, treated, and laminated papers and films, will take an active role in the AWA Release Liner Seminar taking place September 14, 2026, in conjunction with LOUPE Americas in Rosemont, IL, USA.
Ginnie Gandy, general manager, Release Liners, CRG, will present “The Realities of Liner Sustainability: How We Coach Our Customers to Drive Meaningful Change” from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. CDT.
Sustainability remains a major focus across the label and release liner industry, but turning good intentions into measurable progress can be difficult. During the session, Gandy will discuss how CRG works with customers to identify solutions capable of delivering meaningful environmental benefits rather than changes driven primarily by marketing considerations.
The presentation will explore the decisions and trade-offs involved in improving sustainability across materials, manufacturing processes, and end-of-life management. Gandy will also address the importance of understanding each customer’s application, operational requirements and available waste-management infrastructure before recommending a path forward.
“There is rarely one solution that makes a product or process sustainable overnight,” says Gandy. “Our role is to ask the right questions, look honestly at the available options, and help customers focus on changes that can make a difference.”
CRG Founder and chairman Calvin Frost will also moderate the seminar’s panel discussion, “Sustainability in Labels & Liners: Are We Moving Fast Enough?” The panel will feature Steve Katz of Label & Narrow Web, Marco Acevedo of PAC Global, and Gandy.
The discussion will take a direct look at the current state of sustainability and circularity within the label and release liner industry, including whether industry progress is keeping pace with its public commitments. Panelists will examine barriers such as the adoption of alternative materials, participation in recycling programs, the economics of sustainable solutions, and the continued impact of release liner waste sent to landfills.
CRG’s participation reflects the company’s long-standing commitment to helping customers evaluate sustainable materials and responsible end-of-life solutions.
The AWA Release Liner Seminar will take place Monday, September 14, ahead of LOUPE Americas 2026, which runs September 15–17 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont.
